Shipping & Pickup Options

We ship via FedEx Ground/Home services. 

• Orders shipping via FedEx are picked up on weekdays (excluding holidays). 

The production time (the time between ordering and the order shipping) is always listed on each product page.  We ship from central Indiana. The shipping rates we offer at the lowest rates available and we don't make a profit on the shipping. Our products are bulky and heavy, so the shipping costs reflect that.

WE CANNOT SHIP ASSEMBLED PRODUCTS. Shipping our products assembled would require specially constructed packing/crating materials (which could literally take hours to construct). This specialized packing combined with the prohibitively high shipping cost of sending specially packaged assembled products renders it extremely impractical and we simply cannot offer it.

Starting in 2017, all the ground shipping carriers began charging shipping rates based on the greater of the actual weight of a package or the volume of the package. So even a lightweight package like our straw bedding can be costly, as the box has considerable volume.

We have no way to discount the shipping charges, as we make no profit on shipping, but we routinely strive to find ways to bring down our shipping costs wherever possible.

WHERE: We offer local pickup from our shop in New Palestine, Indiana, 46163.

COST: There is currently no charge for local pickup. Orders picked up locally can be assembled at no additional cost. Most people opt for the free assembly, if their vehicle is large enough to accommodate their order.

HOW: When a customer orders products for local pickup, we will contact them by e-mail when their product is scheduled for production and provide them with full instructions (including the address for our shop). Again, it's important to note that the customer won't receive this information until we can schedule their pickup.

WHEN: Hours for local pickup are weekdays from noon to 6pm. Pickup after hours or on weekends may be possible by special arrangement, and are subject to availability.

ADDRESS: As we are a shop and not a retail location, we DO NOT provide the address for our shop in advance of the order being ready to pickup. Also, as we are a shop, it is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that pickups be scheduled in advance, so we can ensure we're available.
